Five Things: Photo Editing Apps

app fotobearbeitung iphone

Since Instagram had it's breakthrough there are so many photo editing apps you can download to make the best of your photos. You can add a filter here, a bit of lightning there until you are completely satisfied to upload your image. But because there are so many apps: how do you find the one who suits your needs and expectations? Here are five of the most useful apps which help me out a lot of the time!

Afterlight (£0,79): Afterlight is the holy grail of the most successful instagramers. It's brilliant in terms of filters and adding different frames (like a heart shaped one) to your pic.
This app contains a wide spectrum of features which make it possible for you to create a whole new atmosphere to your photo. You have to pay for it, but it's really affordable and so worth it.

VSCOcam (free): This is probably my most used + loved app. You have so many features and filters you can use to brighten/darken/sharpen up your pic. In the appstore it's also possible to download more filters, even for free! I also really like that you're able to create an account and you can browse through other peoples artwork. You can get it for free on the app store and it's the perfect alternative for Afterlight. Thumbs up for this!

Rhonna Designs (£1,49): This app is perfect to add things like a text, masks or frames to your picture. You can play around with different lightnings and to pimp your photo even more, you can add one of the preinstalled quotes to it. More packs are available to buy.

Fotor (free): Fotor is one of the "go-to"-apps you need on your phone. I think this app contains everything you need. It has a great flexibility when it comes to it's effects and features, and it is free! What more could a photographer heart desire?

Whitagram (free): If you just want to crop your image and add a frame to it - that's the app you need. It's really basic and super easy to use. Apparently you can't play around too much with it but since it's free, you can't lose!

What app do you use mostly to edit your images?

  1. I use Whitegram and it has improved my Instagram so much. I wasn't a fan of the platform before (it's all about Twitter for me), but lately I've come to start liking Instagram a tiny bit more.

But I think I need to try whitagram, as I don't want my photos to be cropped all the time..
