The Foundation Purchase You Won't Regret

rimmel match perfection

It's August now and soon it's time to say goodbye to the summer. I've never been super excited about this hot season, to be honest. I don't like to be covered in sweat right after my morning shower and having mosquito bites all over my body. But well.. who is actually enjoying this part of summer?
As the days are passing by, so is my tan fading little by little. And this brings us to the actual problem: my foundation doesn't match my skin colour anymore (#girlproblems).
So I did the most logical thing: I went to my local drugstore/second home. And a few people (probably 90%) won't understand it, but I needed over an hour to find a foundation I was interested in AND which matched my skin tone. So there I was, hands covered in different foundation shades, happily leaving Boots - of course packed with more than a foundation.

As already said it was a long way but I finally settled for the Rimmel Match Perfect Foundation in 200 soft beige (£6,99). It is a really light foundation, so if you are looking for full coverage that might not be the product for you. I used my Real Techniques Buffing Brush and I was really pleased how easy it was to blend into my skin! The foundation gives your face a really nice and glowy finish, plus it looks really natural and not caky at all.
The first time I wore it on a night out and I was surprised how well the foundation stayed on. Even though we were dancing in this hot club for hours, my cotton pads were almost full of product after taking my make up off.
I already read a few posts of beauty bloggers raving about the Match Perfect Foundation and I am so happy I tried it out. For just 7 quid it's great value for money and I can really recommend it!
If the foundation isn't available in your drugstores, here's the rescue: ASOS!

Speaking of skin and all that jazz: Would you be interested to read about my (rather basic and boring) skincare routine? Furthermore I'd love to hear about your foundation recommendations and shopping fails!

Take care peeps x
